Het lijkt erop dat de automobilist onderweg was maar dat op een gegeven moment zijn stuur is geblokkeerd. De bestuurder heeft nog proberen te remmen maar belandde in het kanaal. De automobilist raakte niet gewond. Een bergingsbedrijf werd ingezet om de auto uit het water te halen.<\/p>\n<p>Bij de bergingsactie kreeg men hulp van duikers van duikbedrijf DTS uit Grijpskerk. Rond 01.45 uur lukte het om de auto uit het water te krijgen.
